Bonding time with mommy is very important for children. It helps them with development and shows how awesome and great their mom is! Here we have some fun ways to create memories with your pride and joy. So turn off your cell phone, de-stress and enjoy quality time with your kiddo!

1. Bake Cookies
Who doesn’t love cookies? Grab your kiddo and spend the afternoon baking and decorating delicious treats! Pop in a movie later that night and enjoy your delicious creations!

2. Play I Spy Outside
Having a scavenger hunt adventure with your kiddo will be a fun, learning experience. They’ll be able to identify so much and learn more about their surroundings. Grab a couple of pairs of binoculars or a camara to increase the spy feel.

3. Reading
Children adore stories, especially when mom is reading. Make the story come to life by making funny voices and  a bit of drama. If your child is learning to read, alternate reading pages. This way they will build their skills while also enjoying reading with you as well.

4. Sidewalk Chalk Drawings
Sidewalk chalk is so easy and will be a new way for your child to discover creativity. The more colors you have, the better! Draw on the sidewalk, the driveway, the patio, pretty much any place that could use some artwork! Don’t worry…it will wash away in with the next rain storm.

This fast food chain knows how important family is and offers special activity nights throughout the year dedicated to moms and dads. Check with your local Chick-Fil-A to see when their mommy-son or mommy-daughter date nights will be!

8. $1 Movie Date
Who doesn’t love a movie? Take your kiddo to see that movie you guys have already seen 100 times! You two might be the only one in the theater, so feel free to belt out your favorite songs in the movie with your kiddo! Who doesn’t want to sing “Let it Go!” for the millionth time?

Frozen yogurt is definitely a favorite for kids! Let your child fill up their cup with all kinds of flavors and toppings and sit outside to enjoy the weather!

Learning to ride a bike is such a special moment in a child’s life. Teaching them to ride will show them that you will protect them from getting hurt, and if they do get hurt, you will always be there to fix the ouchie. Teaching your child to give back is extremely important. It teaches them to value what they have and also that we should help those less fortunate than ourselves. Have them collect cans for a food drive or give away toys to a shelter.

On a clear night, grab a telescope and take to the sky! Show your kiddo the constellations and make up a fun story about how the stars got into the sky. Also don’t forget to make a wish with them!
